On behalf of the Kailyn Rhea Foundation we would like to thank you for your generous donation supporting our 10th annual golf outing at Old Orchard Golf Course. Funds raised this year will benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital / Lurie Children's Hospital Foundation for Rhabdomyosarcoma research, One Step Camp and Shining Stars.
Each year in the US there are approximately 350 individuals diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that develop in the muscles. The majority of cases are diagnosed in children.
In 2004 Kailyn was diagnosed with stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. In 2005 as a teenager she started the Kailyn Rhea Foundation to raise money for pediatric cancer research with the hope of helping other children with this disease. Kailyn passed in July of 2007 but her determination and generosity while battling cancer will continue to be a source of inspiration for her family and friends.
Through your continued support and generosity we will continue to keep her strength and spirit alive in helping to find comfort and a cure for children with cancer.
